Donate Stuff. Create Jobs.

Last year, neighbors like you donated

pounds of goods to Goodwill NYNJ. With your donations, you helped us serve

people from your communities, while simultaneously diverting tons of usable goods from landfills.

Who We Are and What We Do

Goodwill NYNJ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that follows a social enterprise model based on a commitment to what we call the triple bottom line. Our retail infrastructure helps fund our employment and career services, and it also results in positive social and environmental outcomes for the global community.

We received

donations last year.

We placed

people into jobs, thanks to your donations.

Goodwill Stores

People who shop at Goodwill stores support communities and protect the environment.

Sales proceeds go to helping people with disabilities and other barriers to employment do powerful things, like find work, gain independence, and build careers and better lives. And, because our inventory is donated, we run an environmentally-friendly business.

Parris Caesar: Going from Part- to Full-Time Employment

Parris Caesar joined our Supported Employment program back in 2006. Although Parris had little work experience at the time, he was motivated and enthusiastic to learn. But the journey was long.

In 2009, Paris was placed at the Goodwill Outlet store as a part-time Production Worker. He quickly stood out as an efficient and dedicated worker. With the assistance of his Job Coach, he soon learned how to recognize high-quality donated goods that were likely to sell fast.

Goodwill, Google hold tech skills training session in Astoria

On February 5, Goodwill and Google held a tech skills training session for more than 40 job-seekers at the Goodwill NYNJ Astoria headquarters.
